Have been running without pins for about a year, bought the hood used, and I believe the previous owner used it for about 3 months. I have a Fiber Images hood

i would say put the hood pins on, and if you look hard you can buy the hood and get the pins free. im not for sure if the pins you will get are good, but is there really a better kind of pins you should get.

I hate the way hood pins look. They totally mess up the look of the car. Someone needs to invent like an... under-hood pins.

Don't mean to steal the thread, but does anyone know a QUALITY carbon fiber hood manufacturer? I would hate to buy one and be disappointed. I would like to keep the price around $400-500. I want an oem style hood, no vents or scoops of any kind. Thanks.

You can always go old school and use a chain and lock instead of hood pins.

I looked at the site and the prices are good, but I don't think the quality of their merchandise or their site is good enough for me to order from them. Judging by the pictures of the carbon fiber hoods, i wouldn't order one from them. They show the same picture for all the oem style hoods and they don't even look carbon fiber. Just my .02
