jdm hood latsh/striker issues -already searched
i have an ef9 front end on my ed6 and am having a few issues with the hood latch lining up so it will close. have tried a few adjustments and have gotten nowhere. i slotted the upper striker and was able to get about a hlaf of an inch out of it...need another half inch.
this is my 3rd hood and i am getting past the point of being frustrated. the first hood latched but then the upper striker stripped out and the hood landed on my windshield.
the second hood was a vis cf hood that stayed down with hood pins since my latch was bad-the upper layer seperated from the skeleton and landed on my windshield.
i went back to the oe sheetmetal this time for cost effectiveness-need it to stay closed...help me out if you have done this and throw up pics of what you did to make it work if ya could.

I got mine to work but used the jdm latch in order to do this
but one thing was longer then normal the cable
since it is coming form a right hand car???
but I didn't have problems
funny Kyle trying to get ready for the c/f si-R one....

gotta have a hood on the car for when i come out ya know.
the cable issue has been resolved...i just looped it-hatches are easier i think.
the actual striker is not meeting the latch in the right location is my prob. i have the upper and lower jdm pieces-just not lining up for me.

i slotted the upper latch to move it down the hood further. i was only able to accomplish about a half of an inch of adjustability that way. need about another half inch like you say. make an adaptor plate? knock the edge of the upper assy. flat and slot it more?
throw up a pic for me if ya would so i can see what is physically done to make it work.
i live in wisconsin so i am kind of the blind guy pissing in the wind here ya know.
