help on cam advancement angles

Default help on cam advancement angles

i recently put skunk 2 stage 2 cams in my b16 and have adjustable cam gears. i was wondering if anyone has any experience with these cams and how many degrees i should advance my cams

retard both cams about 4 degrees to start. reset your base ignition timing.

this will give you a couple more ponies and get that powerband up there where you need it.

Advancing cam timing will better your low rpm response, but will kill top end.. the oposite you want with NA cams. As far as playing with the overlap, im not too sure, im a SOHC guy, but there may be power to be found, but only a dyno can tell you for sure.

did what u said, car was a DOGG! advanced the cams to 6 degrees, upped the fuel and air and it rips
