Default KYB AGX

I just got my new shocks/struts yesterday and got them all put in. I love the ride but sometimes on some real sharp like cracks in the road they just hit so hard that u can tell the shock had to be all the way compressed. My question is was I supposed to put my stock bumpstops back in? It didnt say anything about it in the instructions that came with them. Thanks for the help.

You need to cut them in about 1/2. That is what the instructions said that came with mine.

i have KYB AGX and prokit springs, i used a complete energy suspension strut kit when i installed mine. energy supplies lowered bump stops, as in they are half the size of stock, plus they are polyurethane.

I've got the same above setup and didnt cut mine .. the ride is fine.. *shrug* a bit rough on 2+and bouncey as hell on 1-2 .. but didn't see a need to cut the bumpstops (actually when I had it all apart i didnt know i had to .. )

If you're lowered more than 1.5", then cut the bumpstops in half. It'll give you an extra inch or so of strut travel. Riding on bumpstops isn't fun. Your kidneys and spine will thank you later.

By who? It says right in the H&R instructions to trim the bumpstops.

I took the last ring off the top of all 4 of my bumpstops (H&R sports, AGX's). An extra 3/4" of suspension travel, and still plenty of stop to protect the shocks.
