cracked a/c line, any help?
noticed my a/c is not as cold as it was a few days ago, so I went to fill it up. Ice cold but when I got out of the car after a little driving the a/c line is hissing and I find out there's a really small hole. Can I patch this up? if so, how? Or do I have to swap out the lines? Any help would be nice since the weather is starting to burn.

not worth even trying to patch...it's under some pretty high pressure. I've had them corrode before on an old CRX and halfway to vegas BOOM smoke everywhere and no more A/C...thank god it wasn't coolant. So I got to deal with 92 degree weather at 10pm... just replace the hose, the crx hoses were 40 bucks each from honda, I can't imagine these costing much more. You'll thank yourself later when it doesn't blow and lose you 50 bucks worth of coolant.
If you know someone that can TIG weld, it can probably be salvaged.
If not, JB weld will hold up to the toughest of things. Go get some of that, and if it's just a small pin hole or whatever, and not a crease of any kind, you should be able to save it.
After fixing it, it will have to be recharged and possibly oiled.
