Ed Bergenholtz
Looks like things have been getting a little crazy on this board.
First of all I would like to say that I am proud to see how impressionable this board has become. There are famous names as well as devout fans on this forum mixing it all up.
As far as my interaction, every now and then I post to put a picture or 2 up but I can never police this site as often as I should. Now it looks like maybe I need to check this site out more often. Just to let you guys know, even though "E.Bergenholtz" spelled the last name correctly, that is not me. Who ever you are, I'll give it to you, you even fooled my brother.
I know that my brother Ron is on this site on a daily basis and I have read a few of his posts. As everyone has seen he is very passionate, direct and colorful as to his comments about our industry and the players involved. To someone with a view that has been in it, I'm not going say from the very beginnings, but from way before there was any sport compact interest from the mainstream, it's easy to get aggravated from people who "appear to him" as being faithful to our industry for the wrong reasons. Ron is a very talented and unique individual, don't take him too serious sometimes. Talk to Vince Tiaga, Tom Jung and a few others that post here, they have known Ron outside this industry for a long time and know what I mean. If I took him completely serious, it would be a Rod-Steve Millen situation, those two hate each other. One thing is certain, Ron does love Honda-Tech.
Bergenholtz Racing has a rich history in this drag racing industry and every now and then we get blessed with the nice moments that hopefully our fans will remember. Once in a while we'll get a win here or there. It doesn't happen often but when it does we do our best to keep it humble. Every time I see a wheelie bar on a front wheel drive car, especially the big boy teams like Mopar, GM and Saturn it really makes me glad that we made a difference somewhere.
To be honest, I do believe we are underdogs financially. That of course should never be an excuse because of the type of game we are playing here. But I like to look on the brighter side of things. If we do run well or even win, it will make it a whole lot sweeter. Still, we do our best to make the impression that we are bigger than we are. We made an alliance with DUB magazine, we are working with Garrett Turbochargers to get transportation to the next 3 races. We also work with a lot of mentors like John&Marvin of M&H tires. Of course the ultimate goal, god willing, we will be able to do this full time and actually be able to pay our guys. I still work 8-10 with my geek computer job, Vince has Golden Eagle to take care of, Nathan Tasukon works full time at Motec, Ron makes just enough to pay his bills. Still, we are very fortunate that Bergenholtz Racing has pretty much been with the same guys the past few years. What we don't have in $$$ we try to make up for in ingenuity. Amazingly enough, we are still using our one and only Fortin and it's taking the power (knock on wood). But like what Vinny Ten said, "I don't have a million dollars, but I got a million ideas".
Anyway, I've rambled enough. Remember, people are different, situations are different and we all need to respect each other in some way. We are all very lucky to be doing what we are doing at our ranks. I couldn't even image what it would be like for me to start from the beginning.
I know everyone will do well and more importantly support each other. Fabman, Fisch, Tony1, for the record, I have never really formally met you guys but I've seen your work and I think you guys are tallented individuals, keep it up and let's get all these PRO-FWD cars all together at the track.
Peace

So E.Bergenholtz was not you? Glad you cleared that up. I knew I've seen the username "Wickdkid77" on here before, you've been a member for 334 days.

Hey Ed. Just remember, its always the Pioneers that get shot first. Just keep doig what you are doing. Its ver, very hard to come "Out of Pocket" in this Extremely fast growing sport and be on the line for every round. We are no longer able to drive our "Race" cars to the track and then turn around and drive them home. This hobby that instantly turned into a passion 16+ years ago has gone mainstream alot quicker than most of us ever thought. Yeah sure we all want to roll up to all of the events in our huge rigs with a spare car and full of parts. It doesnt work for 90% of us. If you were to sit down and calculate what it would take to start from scratch and build a team, car, and transportation just to get to the first event and be competitive, you all would be shocked. I dont think there is anyone out there today that could finance it on their own.
Ed, Ron, and all the others that have been there since the mid to late 80's you all know what it takes. Keep your head up and keep digging. It will come to you.

I have seen Tony at the races but I don't remember shaking hands with him. As far as Fisch, I could have met him but I will admit I'm terrible with associating names and faces. I'm good with faces so if I see him I'm sure I'll remember something.
At the next race I'll do my best to make sure I introduce myself to both of them.

It's been bothering me, I'll work with earl or somebody to find out. That account is supposed to have been banned now so that's half the battle.

that's really weird that someone would take the time to impersonate someone like ed bergenholtz...you'd think they'd pick someone really famous like brittany spears or arturbo..how do i know this is the real arturbo.now everyone is suspect.
