Is our badge number unique or only unique within the country?

If my number is 2001-0001 in Canada, is there going to be another
2001-0001 in US and another in Australia, and another in Japan and then
another in Europe etc.....

Good question! I want to know the answer to this too. Was going to post the same question one day..

My badge number says 01-0120. Any other Type R's out there in the world with the same number? lol like a twin sister isn't it.

The dealer i bought my r from also has another black one for sale, it's 00-0008. And theres one in brisbane too thats 01-0222.

If there are any other people out there in the world who own those cars, we'll that'll answer our question.

 

Not from what I understand. I think that this corresponds with the manufacture date as well, if I am not mistaken. You can rest assured that you are different from the rest!

 

From my understanding they don't track the number in Japan. I am unsure if they are tracked in Europe or Australia. The Japanese badges only say 98 spec R. They don't have the year or the production number.

 

but still what about Canada and US, since our R's have almost the same spec, similarity in Badge number. etc.

Actually, I found out number are unique in North America. So, there won't be another R in the State having the same badge number as mine in Canada.

Aren't the UK ITR's numbered sequentially? Thus:
97-00999
98-01000 to 98-01999
99-02000 to 99-02999
00-03000 etc?
