AC unit used as forced induction
Ok, this def. IS one of the stupidest ideas that i think ive ever had- but what do you guys think about fixing an AC unit to blow cold air into your intake?? Would it be colder than the air that u would get from just a standard cold air intake? Plus, you could turn the blower up and be runing full boost :D lol U guys think that this would give any hp?? Not all of us and just get up and buy supercharger or a turbo for out car, but maybe this trashy modification might help... I guess the only downside that I can think of will be the lack of AC in the cabin, but I guess thats ok. Just a thought...
interesting, try it out dood let me know how it works..i though of something like that,my idea was putting an electric fan in the intake tube and running a switch into the cabin, flip a switch for boost, lol

so basically your wanting to spray freon in your engine,
you know how expensive freon is? buy a ******* nitrous system and go post over at superhonda.com

go back and read his post again becuase you had the most idiotic post of any in here so far.
anyways, someone in another forum did something like this with fans a while ago on his wife's daewoo or kia something. it produced 2lbs of boost and actually showed a slight hp gain! i can't imagine what that boost an electric leaf-blower would create. so yes it's possible, but unconventional and definately will never replace standard methods of forced induction.
as for the a/c idea, i too thought of this when i was in like 9th grade... but the strain the a/c compressor puts on the engine completely negates any hp increase from the cold air --much like riding around with a cold-air intake and the emergency brake on

You can't do it. It's patented.

This isn't patented yet, but I don't want you getting any funny ideas and have your heart broken later on when you find out it's already been done -

Do you guys are funny man- thanks for the advice- good call on the AC taking more power away from the engine then the Id get with cold air= less net gain in hp.... And for those of u wondering, NO I would not do this to my car, im not desperate for a lil extra boost.
