Default cscc solo2 championship #4

i recently participated in my first autox session along with a few HT members here, ryan (airbag club), khoa (snoozin ef8), brandon (ef yo 89), and edwin. suprisingly i placed 3rd in novice class. on the result it shows that i get a trophie but i left early that day not thinking i was gonna get anything. so im wondering how do i pick up my trophie? its my first time with this autox thingy so i dont know what to do. i have emailed the members there and it seems like they dont reply. so im just asking what you guys think i should do.

another question is on the result sheet under "Best", what is that? is that an average of all 3 of my runs? or how is that classify? 1st place in novice group had all 3 slower run time than i did and how is he placed 1st?

here is the link to the result: http://www.solo2.com/EventData...R.pdf

under Novice, im Sonny Gip.

here are some pix from the event

before they open the gate

ryan (airbag club)

khoa's 240sx (spoolin ef8)

at the gas station 5:30am in the morning

edwin with the green eg, brandon (ef yo 89) with the black ef

buttcrack dawn in the morning when we thought gate would open earlier than the event would start..which is 6am.. also the same thing you're suppose to change your clock an hr ahead.. so we were just hanging out in front of the gate.

mr. khoa dogg (spoolin' ef8)

saw this badboy there..owner of the car was real cool. i beat his best time by 2 sec and it was my first time too!

once again...mr. khoa dogg goofing around

i have more pix, too lazy to post em all...

to answer your question about trophies:
My SCCA chapter mails them out a few weeks later, or hands them out at the next event. I dunno if they do that everywhere or not.

You pick up your trophy at the next event. The best time is (your best run * pax index). So it is 62.967 * .838 = 52.766. PAX index is like a handicap given so it creates a standard comparison for eveyone from different classes. Since you are in street modified, you have a high pax. A car in a stock class would have a low pax. So even if you beat a car in the stock class by raw time, you could still be slower after PAX. If there wasn't PAX, then it obviously wouldn't be fair if a Corvette on R compounds was paired up with a civic on street tires. That's also the reason why the person who got first in novice beat you.
