Need HELP!!!...I think I screwed up my engine...=(
Hey guys...really need some help here, here's what happened:
A white ford mustang was tailgating me....so i down shift to 3rd and rev to redline (was paying attention at the mustang behind me..so didn't **** until it hit fuel cut), then i was suppose to shift to 4th...but for some reason...I accidentally **** down to 2nd (so ******* stupid)....then the engine over revved....but shifted back to 3rd then 4th a sec. after.....The car still run...VTEC still kicks it...but when i slow my car down...it feels as tho the car's gonna turn off....the battery light comes on then off....the it'll rev it up to the idel speed again.
Opened up the engine...can't identify the damage...and the car now produce white smoke...smells like oil.....
What could be the problem?....does warranty cover this?
The only mods i have on the engine are the AEM CAI and Apexi N1 rear section. SHould I put them back to stock before i send it to the dealer?

u gotta be kidding me...so the warranty won't even cover this?...How much will it cost me?
Go to the dealer, just tell them you don't know what happened. See what they say.
An Acura dealer usually charges like $1200 I think for bent valves. An import shop will usually do it for $600.

I mis shifted and bent all eight exhaust valves in June. The car seemed fine while driving, but when it would slow down it would die on me. You basically bent some valves.
This is what I learned from my experience. Tell the dealer the truth on what happened. Just leave out the fact that you were racing someone.
Just put it like you just mis shifted and put it in 2nd when you were going to 4th. My dealer charged almost $800 to take the head off and then what ever the mchine shop charges to fix what you broke. With me being honest, Acura paid for all the parts and all I had to pay for was the labor. It ended up costing me $950 to get it fixed.
Here is one other thing to remember. Someone posted that tuner shops charge about $600, but your car is still under warrenty. I would not have no one work on my car BUT the dealer at that time. If the tuner shop ***** something up, you may as well be fucked too. This is why I say this.....after I picked my car up from the dealer, I found out about 3 days later it was leaking oil really bad. It ended up being a cam seal not seated right so the dealer replaced both of them free of charge.

Damn....~sigh~....i just spent $1000 on Recaro seats too...and now this...oh man...maybe i should sell my bodykit..haha...

Why would the warranty cover your mistake?
If you smashed the car into a tree, would you expect the dealer to repair the damage under warranty? No.. Right?
Well guess what. It is the exact same thing... Damage caused by misuse/ operator error. The people that scam dealerships like this make it that much more difficult for the rest of us to get actual "warranty" issues taken care of.

Well, thanks for all the input guys...my car is at Gold Coast Acura right now and they'll fix it for me under warrany w/ no question ask.
