he's right. If it's your first time on the track, get a feel for how your car handles, then start tweaking your setup. It's just my .02, but I wouldn't even worry about tires first anyways. Run you car in an event, then do some suspension mods. Strut/sway bars and lowering. Then run around the track like that to get a feel for how the characteristics have changed. Then maybe do tires. Just remember to put lots of air in your tires before you get on the track. If they max at 45 PSI, put them at about 40 or so. This'll prevent tire roll and keep the surface from eating them up.
