My friend wants to buy a '91 CRX Si, and has found one that needs the following parts. I was just wondering if anyone can tell me (so I can tell him) how much these parts usually go for (at a junkyard, etc.) and where I he might buy them? Thanks:
-windshield
-radiator and support
-fan and shroud
-front lighting (headlights mainly)

The car is probably going to be around $750. Needs headlights, bumper, hood, front fenders, windshield, radiator and support, fana and shroud. Has early Acura ZC engine (32k miles on it, 157k on actual car) that runs "excellent", rebuilt tranny w/ 12k miles on it , new tires. He will be buying a full body kit (possibly the Ground Designs 2000 12 pc. kit,) so the missing hood, fenders, bumper, etc. are no big deal.

 

if the kid has the money for a 12pc kit then shouldn't he get a crx that hasn't been wrecked, as this one sounds like it has been. because if it has been wrecked bad enough to do all that damage, then there is a chance there are more problems that the people arent telling you or something. if that is the only crx that your friend can find then i guess go for it, but if it were me i would take a little time and look around for a better crx so i didn't end up getting a car that isn't worth what i paid for it. thats just my .02

 

he wants to spend around $5k total on the crx and parts (maybe more later). he just wants a 1991 CRX Si and seems like there aren't tons around here (CT).

If you mean an 86-89 Integra motor, it's not going to bolt-in into the CRX. Mounts are quite different. He should try and sell that motor and get a JDM ZC engine.
