I have a friend that is willing to sell me his b16a motor for a really good price since he is getting rid of his car. We are talking $500 here for a b16, itr head, jun cams. Only problem is the motor is b16 with a cable tranny. I have a 99 civic so I have to use a hydro tranny. My question is will a hydro tranny fit to a older b16?

 

from what ive been told, all of the b-series tranny's will fit all b-series motors.
you wont be able to use your d-series tranny, but you probably already knew that.

 

yeah all the b series tranny fits, with that motor you got i would sugguest you go with a b16a tranny, try to stay away from GSR trannys.
