check engine light on when reverse light wire is conected..???? why..?? 88 crx hf w/ b16
ok its been sometime now since i got my car swaped. every thing is fine. no bog.. no hesitation . motor runs good.. wiring seems to be ok.. but when i got my car swaped. with a b16 i notice that the reverse light wire in the engine(near the o2 sensors) is not conected..? i connected it.. but the check engine light is on.. ask the guy who did my swap about it.. he said that comon with the hf model. just the way the car is wired up. so what i did is just un connected it.. but is there anyway when i can have the reverse light connected and have the check engine light not go on..??
lol hey man i had the same problem aloooong time ago when i had this shop do my old b16 swap into my old 88 crx hf. you have to cut some wire from the ecu. only the crx HF's had them and its not required for the b16 swap. its something to do with the reverse lights and hf's. do a search on my old threads you'll find it. hth...
back-up lights connection to ECU on HF only at ECU pin B9 - green/black wire
