Yeah it should work just fine. I have a 92 VX and I have the 92-95 ex/si(9000 rpm redline) cluster in my car and no extra wiring is needed. Just simple plug and play.
If you have a VX though, your stock redline will already have 8000 rpm as your redline. Why would you get a LX cluster with the same numbers????? Get the EX/Si cluster.
