Clutch Freeplay
What does it mean if i am starting to have an increased amount of freeplay in my clutch pedal? Is it it just something i need to adjust, or something all together more serious?
In the last 2 days I've seen a huge increase in the amount of play my clutch peddle has. This morning it's too the point where there too much. So much in fact that I can't put the car into first gear, I can just barely force it into reverse, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. I'm not sure about 5th.
I know when a clutch needs to be replaced. I've seen that enough times. the peddle will just give on you. Going down and not coming back up at all. But this just seems like something needs to be adjusted. Of course I'm probably wrong since I don't mess with clutches and I probably need a kit, pressure plate and flywheel replaced .. that's going to suck.
Anyone have any ideas? Right now it looks like I'm staying home from work today because of this, researching it.

broken spring in the clutch, unless you have springless. had that happen and i could use all but 1st and rev. get it checked soon, cuz mine ate up the synchros and i had to get a new gearset, plus clutch etc. basically all new tranny, minus housing. warranty covered it tho, cept the clutch itself. they said it would have been about $2200 otherwise, so just fyi.
