Default 1rst gen B16 block# question

does anybody know the differences between the block numbers on 1rst gen B16A's?

my friends block # begins with 5, while mine starts with 1, he seems to think it has to do with wich chassis the motor came from, but isnt sure.

can anybody help clear this up?

TIA

1 million series = honda integra xsi
5 million series = civic sir

now, when you start comparing 1st gen b16's and second gen b16's, the differences come in, i.e. cam profile and oil passages and such.

that's actually disputable.

I've seen 1 series B16's come out of civic/crx clips....it's rare though...just like I've seen PW0 ECU's come out of civic/crx's also (they usually come out of integra XSi/RSi clips).
