Default Removing Heat shield

i was wondering if i would be able to take the heat shield off without having to take the cat off?

im about to do this now - just would like to know

It might be pretty hard to get at some of the bolts... but get under there and check it out...

yes, I used to do it all the time.

then I just took off all the heatshields, problem solved

yeah i took mine off some of the bolts are a little hard to get but not terribly hard tho

hey guys thanks for the replys - too late though lol i already took all three heat shields off the exhaust route. some of the bolts were a pain, working in tight spaces with a wrench, but job done and rattle gone

anyone have any problems with extra heat? also would anyone reccomend using header/exhaust wrap on the exhaust in effort to reduce temps?

haven't had any trouble with the heat (although it is warmer in some areas).

wrapping the exhaust is always a performance benefit, but if you drive in wet conditions, the wrap will start rusting, etc....I'd just leave it.
