Totally off topic. Everybody thinks Mitsu is going to bring over the EVO VII. In light of all these rumors, I would just like to confess my love for the EVO VI
The EVO VII is probably faster and has better handling...but damn it, look at the above pic
Mmmmm...EVO VI. If there is a better looking sedan, please post pics...

True the Evo VI does look better than the Evo VII in stock form.. but i think the EvoVII could look just as good, or better with the help of some aftermarket goodies !
That's what I thought too. but after spending the whole month of Aug in Hong Kong and seeing the Evo 7 everyday. I now like the Evo 7 more.
I wouldnt give up just yet. By the time Mitsubishi brings the Evo over here, we could be looking at the Evo VIII and although it might not be too agressive, I'm sure it will be a change from the VII.
EVO VI are way better looking VII's are too big and conservative looking...but fiercely fast

Oh my
Everybody wants to import JDM cars....but if I had a chance I'd import the German EVO VI cause it's left hand drive. Any differences between the German EVO VI and JDM EVO VI?

I coulda sworn I read somewhere that there is a difference. They couldnt include some feature because the steering column was in the way. But really I have no idea. And I think the Evo 6 looks waay better.
Did you guys see Tommi Makinnen in the debut of the Evo 7?? It sucked. I think they said the tranny had a problem on BOTH cars! But Subaru and Ford were both way behind the Pugeots and Citroens too. Damn 206's look bad ***!!

If I ever get this car, I'll take in in black and the first thing I'm going to do is take that wing off... aerodynamics and high speed stability be damned!!! That thing just dosen't do it for me.
That wing is extemely functional...if you take it off, the car becomes unstable...Ive never seen a wingless EVO...on the VII, I think its very difficult to remove too...some body work may be needed
How can the Evo 5 be denied.. its the best looking..the front bar looks better with the lights further in.. Another mad one is the "Zero Fighter" Evo VI..

ahh the Zero Fighter!!.. I love it.. I love the name too! tribute to their WWII plane i guess.....sounds pretty bad *** though
specs.. specs... where did I put my damn specs.. The Carlton got a bit of a write up in redline mag a few months ago.. We tried to bring one in in about 97, but no way customs would allow it.. I'd have to go by memory ( good but short )
Fastest production 4dr sedan ( down boys ) Probably still is Runs about 184mph..
0-60 mid 4's don't know 1/4 times, but Brits aren't big on that. It's 377hp I think,
British spec horsepower, so I guess that's with everything attached and running.
Could be off on the horsepower, it's a twin turbo 6 cyl, dead reliable, rear wheel
drive, and apparently not a car to stab the throttle if there's something ahead of
you
No good on a track, really good on the highway
hmmm....at 0 to 60@ in mid 4's , its not that much faster than the Evo VI
Evo VI specs:
1/4 mile: low 13's - high 12's
0-100km: 4.4sec
engine: 2.0L I-4 w/single turbo w/water-air intercooler
drivetrain: AWD

Do you know what.. It's probably not half the car the EVO is... And new cost about twice as much.. No AWD, no tuning parts, no longer made... But damn...
the thing looks like your grandma's grocery getter, your grandmas 185 mph grocery getter...And Lotus put everything they had at that point into the motor compartment, so everybody who got one got a pit crew to go with it ( almost true )
Now I think you can pick one up for about 20,000 to 25,000 pounds..., They origionally were about 80,000 pounds I think... And you would have exactly one of one in Canada... Don't have a picture, but just look up a Vauxhall Carlton.. that's it!

Ewww? Maybe to your eyes, but that thing gets major respect from me.
Just look what Lotus and Vauxall have made recently
