I ordered new factory shocks from Bell Honda in Arizona and the fronts do not have brake line mounting brackets? anybody else ever install the oem shocks? I plan on giving them a call in the morning. I have a 1993 wagon.
Id send all them back & get a set of KYB GR-2s, or up grade to AGX's.
Thats just my new found opinion

I thought about that but was not sure if the valving is the same for the wagon or the shaft length? the wagon has a few different parts, I put Bilsteins on my civic with stock springs and it handles like crap it sits up too high now and floats on the Highway the car seems to light for these shocks.

Thanks Mike I need to get in contact with the Dealer and find out what is going on first. The picture on majestics Honda's site shows the brake line mounts.
The brake line mounts come off the old original equipment SHOCK . If you don't have the oem shocks on the car they should be on your aftermarket shocks . Or you may have to buy some new ones . My 96 Accord has removable BRAKE LINE MOUNTS that go on new set . Check with the dealer Also theres a Honda site Manhonda.com click on parts and check out SHOCKS.

This is first time on this site, please bear with me. Drive 98 4dr lx v6 accord with 122,000 miles. After some research and price comparisions I recently replaced OEM struts with Bilstein HD struts and Eibach sways, (lowered front and rear by .5". Installed an Ingen intake. Handling improved greatly. Still not where I want to be and I am planning on replace brake lines with stainless tubing, Brembo D&S rotors with metalic M&M pads. Planning to also replace rims with 16" wheels, up from 15" OEM, with Bridgestone Turanza LS-Z UTI-TAQll. I am hoping to bring handling performance up to where I can explore serious increase in wheel horse power as current configuration of suspension is over driving my 205/60R15s now. I am unsure whether transmissionis strong enough and that may also need to addressed in the future. Bottom line, high performance structs and sways were well worth the investment. Jury on Ingen intake is still out. Hope this helps in your thought precesses.

Mono tube shocks last much longer that twin tube. Stock Showa are mono tube, Bilseins are great but I would have to stiffen the spring rates, my Wagon is used for camping, hauling Two large German Shepherds. I need the extra suspension travel of the stock springs.
I put the Bilstien HDs with H&R OE Sport Springs on my 1996 Accord Sedan . Ride is much improved and the ride height only dropped 3/4 " , good for daily driver. The H&R spring are definately stiffer than stock and work well with the Bilsteins HDs, good ride better handling . Tirerack.com sells the springs for $157.00
