use your stock clutch cable with a B series trans
I didnt want to buy a new clutch cable so i turned the braket on the trans upside down and grinded off the little housing and other bolt, then i painted it. works great.
From what i remember, when i did my swap i didnt have to modify anything. New OEM D series clutch cable on B series trans, no bracket to flip upside down or anything.
the d series isnt long enough, you have to adjust it all the way out but it doesnt feel right. and its constantly pulling on it a little bit.

Well every car is different and i didnt have to do any mods. I still have some adjustment left too. I even bought a teggy clutch cable before i did my swap expecting to have to change it, but i didnt, so i now have a brand new teggy clutch cable still in the bag.

b16 with ys1 tranny and I have been using my stock 1988 clutch cable the whole time.. It works great and my pedal freeplay is right on.
Don't know what everyone else's problem is.

Cut away about an inch of the metal sleeving right past the adjustment screw

Im having the same f'n problem with my b16 . I have a Y1 and i have not one but three different cables and none of them want to work . Maybee im doing something wrong , but the lever that the cable goes onto has to be all the way up and it still wont go on. Sure i can FORCE it on but then when i go and press the clutch its almost impossible to move. . I think im gonna try to flip the bracket .
ok that is offically badass! dude take some more pics of that, hydro tranny are plentiful in this area and i'm in need of one

Yeah, thats a cool deal man. Good job on that mod. Ryan

Do you have the j1 tranny and hasport billet mounts? b/c mine is adjusted all the way out and it's frozen now for adjusting, I'm gonna try to fix it and hopefully I can break the plastic adjustin loose. I think it's been killin my clutch for a year now...gaw, i'm such a dummy to not access this problem earlier.
