Default Air Intake

Ive noticed alotta people have a pipe going from their intake manifold to their stock airbox, or a complete stock airbox setup. Why is this? Im using K&N CAI. Thanks.

Because unless you run the full cold air intake setup, a K&N filter in your stock airbox and the smooth tube to the intake mani from that airbox will produce more power than the short ram setup.
