Acura/McGard wheel lock emergency!
God I hate my local tire place. I had them put on some snow tires back in November, and everything was cool. I had a problem with the left front leaking air so I took it back to them a couple times. Well the last time they must have had the gun cranked up (they work on 18-wheeler tires too) and I could NOT get the lugs off of my left front. So after about a half hour I got the three lugs off and started on the McGard wheel lock. Well I warped the swirly design on the inside of the key to the point where it wouldn't even fit in the lock. So what do I do? Fill the key with that steel putty, then press it on there. I let it sit overnight, came outside and 'snap', the putty didn't hold. So here I am with a left front wheel that won't come off, and a warped McGard wheel lock key that's full of hardened steel putty. I said "ok, i'll just put my winter tires on for another week while I order a key". But of course THE KEY IS WARPED AND FULL OF PUTTY and I have locks on my three summer wheels that I was able to get off easily. So I'm kinda stuck now. Anyone have a key I can borrow? I run stock wheels (two sets, one for summer) so once I get the locks off I'm gonna ditch them and get a new set of regular lug nuts...but the first step is getting them off. Can I just buy these from Acura?
Clifs notes - My local tire place sucks, overtorqued my wheel lock, broke the key, now have different wheels/tires on and no key to change any of them.
