Anyone ever fit a 99 SI grill into a 96-98 civic coupe?

Well im just seeing if anyone has made a 99 si grill fit into the 96-98 civic dx/ex/lx if you did what mods did you need to do ? im bout to put mine on in a couple weeks.

I made myself a mesh insert for my 96-98 grille. I tried to make my friend one using the same template as I did mine on, (for his 00 SI) and it was a big no go.
THEY WILL NOT SLIDE RIGHT IN.

Of course its not gonna just slide right in have you ever seen both front ends?? they are completly different, the 96-98' grill is considerably smaller

The good thing about the 96-98 grill is you can make a killer looking one, just cut the middle part out and insert a black mesh. That is, if you want an OEM grill. Us 99-00 guys have to buy an Si grill. Dont get me started on a CTR grill, ~$300

well im going to make it fit and do it clean i allready measured it up and have a spare bumper to mess with ill take pics of it all..
