is it possible to run skunk stage 2 cams on a stock valvetrain? also, are there any gains in just upgrading the Intake cam?

Oh with SKunk2 Stage2 cams on stock valve springs and retainers you'd make power over/under 6k rpms for a few seconds before your stock valve springs and retainers failed and trashed you head and destroyed your bottom end..

Just get a good set of valve springs and retianers... The Vtec Croosover with them is insanely loud, people take notice when they hear it!

what is the price range for upgrading springs, retainers....? maybe ball park? Im running a b18c1 hittin 13.8's all motor, and 13.0 with a little n20. i wanna be in mid 12's with n20. you're right about screamin vtec! Its pretty loud now, but the louder the better.

skunk2 stage 2 + full skunk2 valvetrain = badass vtec x-over

just save serious i would not ask for any better cams on a car daily driven

intake cam is usually CTR if u wanna do it

I think price skunk2 stage 2 and full valve train, adjustments, and install maybe 1300-1500

just a guess stage 2 cams run about 700-900

You als need to add in the price of some sort of vafc/Hondata to ajust the vtec crossover and fuel maps to get those stage 2's to run correctly

i fig when u do the valves and stuff u just count on dropping an assload of cash and just to cams, valvetrain, tuned pnp, and the whole bit if the head is off the engine might as well get it all done IMO
