shift linkage

Default shift linkage

ok so how do i remove an shift linkage bar on the tranny chiton and heynes both say to pust the pin out how do i and where can i get another one from ????? motor is an sohc ex motor

8mm punch man, best way.

line the punch up with the pin and tap it out with a hammer. you can prob reuse the pin but otherwise you'll want to order one OEM from honda. DO NOT USE A BOLT!

just remove it with a punch, I didnt have that was the right size so i just cut one i had with a dremmel to make a perfect fit.

what they said above. also a lot of people have said that jamming a screwdriver in there will not work most of the time.

its so funny when you go to look at a swap for sale...you see that part of the linkage still on the tranny because people dont know how to take it off so they just cut it off haha...

If you have access to air tools. An air hammer will replace it in 2 seconds.

Otherwise, use the punch or a long 8mm bolt.
