Turbo Kia Project .. Who would of thaught.. Well all I got to say the motor after taking it apart was built better them I expected let see if it can put out some good numbers..

The funniest thing about this is this is the customer commuter and every morning the same civic smokes him every morning so he like I want to smoke the civic so I'm ok lets make it 300hp to the wheels that should take care of that civic ... Good Luck to the civic in SF that smokes this KIA every morning

what pics are you looking at? -- there are 4 intake runners and 4 manifold runners--
anyhow
any one can slap on a turbo-- how reliable will it be and how long before that car throws a rod???
what is used for tuning it- SAFC?? not too bad if you up the injectors a bit. and run low boost

Even if he threw a rod, spun a bearing or cracked a block, it would all be worth it for him to smoke that Civic just once and see the expression on that sap's face. to bullies, even those that drive Hondas.

LoL the ecu is the size of a Honda ABS Ecu .. we spent all all day looking for the ecu were like where the hell is it .. LOL Who know whats customers want we do ... Projects are all ways fun

You took the words away from me, looks just like a sr20 at first glance.

Throw up the numbers this does when it gets finished.

 

I'm going to guess FMU, which is fine for this setup.

Well, spark said he disassembled the block, so I'm guessing he took a look at the rod sizes, and if he thinks he'll be making WHP that needs a turbo that big to support it, more power to him I guess.

I believe it is a derivative of the Mazda B6, which KIA purchased the rights to produce for their own cars. Some small things get changed between the real B6 and the KIA, no clue as to QC and particulars.

kia engine have been in the 10 and 9 for years in puerto rico,one of the fastest street cars in puerto rico uses a kia engine with a best of 10.2 et,i will post some pictures once i find them
