Default having trouble, dx block Si head not working.

alright where trying to put together a motor to get my friends CRX rolling and its not going good. where using a DX block and an SI head. the timing belt is from an Si, its a brand new belt. when we get tension on the belt it hits the bottem of the motor mount. we are using the Si gear, that goes on the crank, and the DX tensioner and water pump. we tried the si tensioner and had the same problem. is there anything different between the si and DX stuff( tensioner, water pump, etc)? and is there a difference between the si and DX timing belt and cam gears? where trying to get this done by monday.

All of those parts are the same though from the DX to the SI. Strange that you are having problems. Good luck with it!

yeah, I found it very strange too. I went over it again and put all Si stuff on it. the tensioner, water pump, crank gear, and cam gear and the belt is still to long. the stock i belt doesn't fit either. So you think I should use the DX belt? should I change anything back to the DX parts? are the cam gears different sizes between the DX-Si?

Cam gears are the same, everything is basically the same.

DX belt,

Did exactly wht you did on my last crx and had no problems what so ever with my dx belt already on my b2 block.

And if you guys are curious as to what is difference I cant be certain so dont quote me but I would assume possible difference in deck height or head height since they both yeild different compression numbers.
