How many o2 sensors does an 01 ITR have...I have a JDM DC 4-1 header and a JDM ITR cat...the cat does not have the spot for an o2 sensor but the header does...any suggestions??? oh yeah its pheonix yellow if that helps j/k

 

01 ITR has two o2 sensors, one in the header and one in the cat. The JDM ITR only has one o2 located in the header

 

Ditto, primary o2 on the header and secondary o2 on the cat.

can i drill a hole for the secondary o2 into the jdm ITR cat..any suggestions

 

bring it to a muffler shop, it's not as simple as drilling a hole and sticking it in. you need to have thread to screw on the o2.

 

so i will need to get an o2 bunge put it the cat...so you can drill throught the haetsheild and cat

if you are running a jdm ecu you don't even need to worry about the 2nd o2 sensor since the ecu will not throw a code if it is missing.

Not only that....but when I installed my header and was running two o2 sensors the car actually wouldnt start. JDM only recognizes 1 and the second one was faulting the computer. Anybody else had this happen before. May have just been a coincidence but when we took it out it started right up!
