as long as you use the same flywheel, clutch combo all will work together. of course unless the 88 tranny only had 4 gears

WTF? 88 was different because of the spline count on the tranny. 89-91 were the same.

Wait a minute... Is he talking about the teeth on the axle splines??? Cause they are different. I spent an entire day finding out the answer to this one...

1988-1990 have 23 splines on the hub end of the axle. The 1991 and SI only have 26 teeth, just like an Acura Integra of the same year. Are you talking flywheels or axles here???

Just trying to help.

88 has 21 splines. Must use 88 clutch and fly as the diameter is 190mm.
89 has 20 splines. If you have an 89 flywheel you must use 89 clutch as the diameter is 200mm, or upgrade the fly to a 90-91 and use 90-91 clutch.
90-91 has 20 splines. Can mix and match 90-91 clutch parts and flywheels as the diameter is 212mm.
