Default Need help with CV Boot/joint

Hey guys,

I have a 92 Integra with 130 000 miles and I recently replaced my CV boots cause they had just ripped the day before. Anyhow I was too late and as it turns out the driver side cv joint is clicking away like crazy now. Anyhow I am selling the car soon and I was wondering if I could get away with replacing just the cv joint, or do I need to replace the whole axle? Can I replace just half the axle? Im just lookin to save a few bucks for my newer Integra. Any tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Evan

P.S If I decide to buy a used axle, how could I tell if the joint is good without installing it and driving the car? Thanks a bunch.

If you plan on doing it yourself, you will save yourself LOTS of time and hassle by just paying around $60-$80 after core for a whole remanufactured axle and just replacing the whole thing.
