False alarms on 2000 Accord
Frequently in the past week or so the alarm has activated on my 2000 Accord. There is no apparent reason and it has never happened before. It goes for a day or two without happening then alarms twice in an hour.
Is there something I should check? Failing a fix I would like to disable the system permanently. I have checked the manual and the fuse boxes and can find no reference as to which fuse it might be.

The dealer tells us we can't disconnect the alarm system without disabling the whole car. Does anyone know of any way that I can accomplish this?
Thx,

try going to a shop where they install alarm systems and see what they can do for ya. try even taking this question over to the audio, alarm forum here on honda-tech. they might be able to help you out more. good luck

99% chance you have a bad remote transmitter... whan it goes off look at the keyfob you will find it lit up.... have at least 2 to 3 a month in the shop for that complaint. thought techline was feeding me a line of crap when they told me to leave the transmitters where i could see them and as soon as the alarm starts going off to look at them and gee they were right... so start there
