Last year I purchased a CF hood that came from VIS racing. When I got it, it was cracked during shipping and the fit was crap. So I sold it to someone at a loss and am now looking for another hood. Does anyone have suggestions on a better company perhaps that would offer a better fit, the crack in the clear during shipping I can't blame anyone for really, but the fit was so bad? Joel do u remember if that shipment was grade A or AA? And does it even matter? The hood itself looked pretty nice but I was pretty unhappy overall. Does anyone make a better hood for 4th gens? Thx

 

I'd say try another VIS hood. Mine is great.

 

Grade? I have no idea what you mean it came from VIS to Autozeal and then to you...hmm I don't really know much more than that, sucks that it cracked that would have been my hood!

I'm under the impression that they had different grades of hoods A and AA, whatever that means? But anyways I heard good things about Fiber Images. Do they have a hood for 4th gens? And also I does anyone know of the best way of installing hood pins? Everyone I've seen with these have cracking in the clear around the pins, I really don't want that.

I think it's an Invader hood from the same groupbuy...maybe the fitment is better.
