Default oil pan

anybody knows if a dented oil pan will cause my v-tec not to kick in?

shouldn't, unless you are not sustaining enought oil pressure. in which case vtec is the least of your problems.

nah it shouldn't. I banged the hell out of mine and I can still hit VTEC. I need a new one though cause some lame *** stripped out my plug and I had to tap it to a 18mm plug which means no Spoon plugs for me.

whats the deal w/ the spoon plugs anywya? don't they just have a magnet so that metal shavings and other ccrap doesn't get recycled into your engine?

as many have noticed, spoon is just overated and overpriced...not necesssarly in japan but in US/Canada....

the same magnetic plug can be both at places like Pepboys and many more for about $3-5...not $30+
