stupid question, did you have bearings in all the holes for the balance shafts?
well i was working on my block and i noticed that the #2 mains didnt have bearings on eithier side, where the balance shafts go through. the thing that really had me questioning it is that there is notches on all the others to hold them in place, but not on those.
also noticed one side #1 didnt have one, but i think one supposed to be here cause the oil hole seems to be way to big to not have one.
the #6 ones didnt seem to look like they would want any eithier.
i guess my next question should be, how do i know what size bearings ill need to order.

damn, how come "look at my big wing" gets like 20 replys, and a tech question gets ignored. i know someone know this.
hey i got a stock h23 block sitting in my garage, try and pull up a pic of what your asing on http://www.slhondaparts.com, i can go check to see if there ae bearings in certian places
edit: if you check this link, i think its a once size fits all afair, the clearances really arn't that big of an issue

i looked under the crank section and they listed the main bearings but the bearing for the balancer shafts were in a different place

thanks...that second link...18,19,20 looks like the ones. thing is, that shows 2 bearings on one side, and 3 on the other. thats what my block has in it. 2 on the water pump side, 3 on the other side.
that just seems wierd to me.

i have some pics of it if you want to see, just didnt think anyone was reading it.
There is three on both sides. If you look at the Helms you'll see the third is in the oil pump itself, which is not replaceable. But i didn't see any holes in the balancer shaft bearings. Throw up some pics..
