SRT-4 Intercooler on an EG?
Well the forced induction forum wouldn't let me post there tonight, so i tried the next best thing. I ran across a srt-4 intercooler for a very low price off a friend of mine. The thing is will the piping work because it doesn't go out to the left and right like other IC's it goes straight back. So I was wondering if I should purchase it or not.
BTW this is for putting together a custom kit.
Thank you

If it is going to be custom you can pipe it anyway you want especially if the ic is real cheap.
If you spend $100 on the intercooler and then spend 200 for someone to weld new endtanks or adjust the inlet and outlet you could just buy a complete ic. If tinkering is what you like and you can weld then it doesn't matter.
Like you said it is for a custom kit then you can do whatever you want..

Well he was selling me the intercooler for 150, and at first I was planning on the getting the starion intercooler but then he threw this deal at me, so I grabbed it and told him that i'd buy it. I've never actually looked into detail at how the piping runs from an IC on an SRT but i'll take a look at it. Also I didn't realize how wide that IC is...think it'll fit?
I just looked at an SRT-4. The IC looks like it would fit in your car, cutting out the plastic in your front bumper of course, or I'd think you would have to. But I couldn't see how the piping went. Everything was so crammed under the hood of that car.
