If you are serious... and are reffering to a real type r... you would have to convert to RHD... and no... 1997 is not ek9, its ek4. the 99-00 is ek9.... but do I smell a troll?

well, they didn't make a 97 ctr, but just because it's 96-98 doesn't mean it's an ek4. ek9 refers to the civic type R, ek4 is just a hatchback with power everything and a sunroof and a b16a

edit: in other words, an SiR

I smell the troll here... Ek9 is 97-00 Civic Type-R. Ek4 is the 96-98 SiR. Get your informatin straight before you flame.

ive always wondered the same thing because if you get ctr door panels, steering wheel and lets say some black seats, doesnt it look off cause your dash is blue?

Soundbomber, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the ek offered with black interior? (though VERY rare?)

I have a Dark Gray (K) interior and I believe it is the closest to black you will find in a USDM 96-00 Civic. I have seen some USDM Civics with interiors that look darker like this one:

In the image above, is that a USDM dash color or was it dyed or re-upholstered to black?

It may just be the camera, but it doesn't quite look like my dark grey interior.

Really? Below is is picture of my dark grey (K) interior. The camera flash made it look lighter that it is, but it is nowhere near as dark as the one I posted earlier. Mine is a '97 model. Did the K interior become darker for the 99-00 models?

No.. thats CTR carpet. Not too hard to find, usually goes for like $200. But looks like crap with the Dark Gray interior.

Look at the pics. You can tell by the needles in the cluster, and the shift boot, seats, ect those pictures are bright and contrasted as hell.
