Default Fixing up a 96 Accord

I want to improve the perfomance as well as the exterior on my 96 Accord. I have no idea where to start though. I've been told that I should start with the suspension (what would I do to it?). The fact that it's an automatic also limits what I can do (or does it?). I'm having a heck of a time finding white rims as well. If anyone has any insight or advice or knows somewhere I can go in the bay area, I'd love to hear from you.

THANKS!
Craig

A really easy thing you can do under the hood is add an open air breather, a header manifold, and a cat back exhaust. All bolt on and has been known to add about 15hp to most Accords.

I just bought a '96 EX sedan with a 5 spd., and I'm looking to do the same. I work in Tokyo once or twice a year, and the car parts there are NUTS! They have the coolest lighting and interior products. I"m trying to find an online place to look, but they have AUTOBACS there, but stocked with the craziest car stuff. Good luck with your projuect, let me know how it turns out!

Only in some instances does it add 15 hp. A lot of the time it doesn't even add that much. But yes those basic bolt ons will help. As for the suspension set yourself up with a good set of shocks and springs. A lot of people go with either koni or tokico struts and a set of eibach drop springs. The amount of drop is up to you and it is dependent on what you like. There are ALOT of things you CAN do if you have time and money but stick to basic bolt ons nd suspension for now
