Just pulled the stock catback piping and exahust and installed my new greddy evo2. I notice right away that at 1800 rpm I get a really bad rattle. I found that if I pushed down on muffler it went away. So i jacked it back up and found that on the very rear rubber mount there was a peice of metal that was from old hanger (not being used) mount that was vibrating on the mounts that are welded to evo2 muffler. I fixed 90% of the noise by taking a rag and wraping it on the metal and putting metal tapping over that. I know i could chop it off and problem would be fixed but thats a last resort. Anyone ever had a similar problem on there greddy install?

 

i have the exact same problem..i just wrapped it in ductape....for now..didnt wanna chop it off..and it still rattles a tad bit.. but im to lazy to fix it completley

 

hmm thats weird i think im gonna call greddy and see what they have to say about things
