Topic says it all.

I have to pull the tranny soon for a ls 5th and quaife lsd. So that will be out.

Ive never pulled one of these motors before (b18c) came in the car, how much work is it to pull the motor and clean the engine bay etc.

How many hours would it take about to pull the motor and clean the engine bay working at a slow pace.

Is it worth the effort?

i just fisnihed doing that today. I took EVEYTHING out, all wires all brake lines (excpet 2 rear brake lines and 2fuel lines), all rubber grommets, the master cylinder/boost, the clutch cylinder, fedners, bumper, EVEYTHING.
It took myself and a frined 8 hours to do eveything, but we also pulled the dash and most of the interior too.
My car is orange on the outside and under the hood was white, it drove me NUTS. It;s off to the paint shop monday.

You have to use somthing like gunk engine degreaser and get it CLEAN and oil/dirt free and let the paint shop do the rest.

If you have never done it before it might be a bit to handle as you need to know where the wires go once you get it painted lol

nah, wiring is no biggie i wired my car and no 2 plugs are the same so everything will only plug back in 1 way.

Ive got a buddy that will help, i think im going to do it!

I have already removed the front rad cross memeber and everything before and i have to take the tranny out so the motor isnt much more. Most of the stuff will get taped since its not a show car.

Plus when motor and tranny are out I can paint them a nice silver:D
