b16 engine problems

Default b16 engine problems

hey i bought a jdm b16 and i got it in the i started the engine it ran fine ti i got hot and then it was making noises like a nut floating around in the head. could it be the vtech lobe trying to lock up and spin but not engaging all the way?

try doing a valve adjustment or it may be the distributor ( mine makes a nouise similar to what your describing). your problem has nothing to do with vtec.

i had that happen to me then my motor blew the number one cylinder.

take the head off and see if you have done any damage. it should on ly take a day, oh and buy a manual. it will help

Since it sounds like you can repair it yourself, take it to a shop and have them look at it.

Oh yeah and hope it's not gunna cost a lot
