Upper Rear Tie bar question.
I am looking at purchasing an upper rear tie bar for my car and was going to get a neuspeed but the part didn't come in and my dealer didn't know when he could get one in. (long story). I was going to order a DC sport upper rear but don't think it will do the job. Does anyone have a DC sport upper rear tie bar and if so, how does it compare. Does anyone have any good suggestions? Fuminsho recommended to me Spoon?? Any other recommendations?
DC bar is the most flexible piece of metal you'll ever encounter. To quote D, who had one before switching to JDM: "Let me tell you how stiff this thing is. It's ******* NOT!!!"
Check our site in the mods section for pics and more of D's gentle thoughts.
It looks nice. That's about it.

Thanks Aleph...I figured that it would suck because it only used a one bolt swivel to connect it. Forgive me but that will do nothing BUT flex. Any ideas on spoon, neuspeed, mugen, toda ????
I recently installed a Spoon rear upper tie-bar on my Civic Si purchased from RandD Motorsports, and the first time I took it out it felt totally different. I can almost produce mild OVERSTEER !!! Awesome handling imporovement.

Mugen and Benen bars are the best, but expensive and require cutting into the rear panel as they are straight through one piece bars.
OMP makes a well made but IMO ugly one piece bar. I think it's only 100.
If you don't want to cut into your interior, then go with a hinged bar. The drawback is lowered stiffness since the bracket raises the bar over the mounting points in addition to it being hinged. Spoon, Neuspeed and Honda make the better hinged bars, although Neuspeed and Honda's aren't really hinged since each bracket ties into the bar at two points as opposed to Spoon's one. But the Spoon bracket's seem to be much beefier than the Neuspeed and Honda ones...
