Default Video from #68 H1 Buttonwillow

Big file, about 100mb each. Please right click and save. This only gonna be up for short while since I'm low on bandwith. If anyone can host them, that will be great.

Saturday race. qualified 5th, result 3rd
http://kenji.kenjim.com/video/andrie/hc_040304.wmv

Sunday race. qualified 7th, result 5th.
http://kenji.kenjim.com/video/andrie/hc_040404.wmv

Sunday race is more exciting IMO.

YEah, it started the last lap. Varo was driving defensively made it hard for me to make any move. I had to try a move at the last corner. Ryan saw it coming and took advantage of it.

If Varo didn't protect the inside lane, he would have out dragged me anyway, with my underpowered car. My car only made 185whp.

But Varo did the right thing, as I would do if I were him.

Yes, the Sunday race was a lot more entertaining till the very last lap.
Two things i noted: about 20:15secs in the race, it looked like you got bunt from the rear while at apex on that tight up-hill right-hander. I presume you braked a bit too much or the driver behind was a bit too anxious to get you on corner exit?
25:00 -- lucky that RX-7 caught it's stance otherwise you might of been in a bit more trouble eh?

Man, the sequence of events in that latter half of the last lap to the very last turn was, fugged up. I felt for ya watching it.

Thanks for the vids.

[edit] Im guessing the outcome of ur race might have been different if there wasnt a yellow flag at the one turn where the two Mazda's were blocking racing line and that one truck crossing the track.

Yeah, Ryan gave me the love tap because he wants me to accelerate faster and catch the two guys in front

That RX-7 was really a lucky incident for me. It could very well end up really bad.

IMHO they should have the full course yellow. The inicident covered most of the track.

If you car is underpowered at 185hp (I take it at the wheels) then what are the front runners running? I would think 185 would be pretty competitive but then I am new to the Hondas. (just sold my supra tonight). What about fwtq?

It was really cool to see that you were able to play with Varo and his K-series with your little street driven, B powered EG that could!

I know Willow Springs will be the opening of a new chapter in the K vs. B series war...

Nice Video ! You in car video is really crisp and clear. What type of video set up do you have? Is it just a mounted camcorder or something else like a lipstick cam?

wow, I didn't know you're that heavy. I just tip 2300 lbs. Not a bad power on your end though. You can pull on me everytime down the front straight. Maybe that 6 speed is the key

No time to look at the speedo. More important things happening too fast than the speedo.

gotta love cable at 3am, 600kb/sec is good.
FYI, willow will be dominated by higher hp cars, it's only got 9 turns and everyone should be given a cafe latte for T8 so they can drink it as they drive through it.

That's what you would think on a high speed track where an H1 car should average over 100MPH. Big HP helps, but it won't get you through 2, 8, and 9. Handling (and *****) will win the race.
