My friend is donating his Neuspeed Race springs. Now the question is what shocks do I get? Do I go with adjustables or non adjustables? I guess before we go into that, Im looking for a smooth ride for everyday driving. (Coilovers are out of the question, I dont like them at all) anyways what do you guys recommend. Also consider iam on a budget here.

WOW! Neuspeed Race springs...they will drop your car super low. Even with the best (affordable) aftermarket shocks, i.e. kyb agx, Koni sport, Bilstein. The shocks will eventualy wear out (just like oe shocks) because of the excessive spring rate and not enough stroke.
I think the truechoice fellas told me that standard Koni Sport adjustable shocks can handle up to 500lbs/in before it needs to be re-valved.
My suggestion is get the springs...sell them and get Eibach + Koni Sport adjustable, which will allow you to lower/raise the height a tiny bit because the shocks have adjustable spring perch position.

hmm.. shocks in extreme circumstances fail because they are driven on while there is little travel, bottoming out the rod inside.. The thing is that I've been driving around on good quality/affordable shocks and 2.5"-4" drop for ever.. Originally I had GC coilovers with Bilsteins on a 4G Camaro, and now I run Group A coilovers on KYB AGXs on the setup below.. No problems at all personally, and with the other 20-30 people I know that have the same type setup around here..
You get what u pay for.. You don't sound like u need adjustability, so just get Koni Reds or Tokicos.. You'll be happy with them..

OR
should I sell the springs and get something like Eibachs like supersonic mentioned.
get the koni yellow, that's the only shock i can see right now that can handle that low of a drop...i have my car dropped about 1.5 in the rear and 2.0 in the front...my shocks went out so quick...got some kyb and had some bilsteins for a while...they were cool...but when i road in my friends integ with the koni...nice nice comfortable ride...
just remember how your ride depends on well the shocks is able to damper and rebound...stiffer shocks = smooth rides on little bumpy roads...but once you hit a dip...feels like you are going to launch out of your seat

As for the look of the springs, there are people that like the wheel-well, I don't.. I like performance driving on the street and road course events, so i got adjustable springs and shocks.. I will NEVER buy non-adjustable springs again, because the price is right and i like the harsh ride..
My recommendation is to get a set of springs that are a 1.5-2" drop and a set of new shocks that aren't adjustable, since u won't be adjusting them.. Koni Reds are adjustable, but they are inexpensive enough to get and just leave in.. The Tokicos (HPs i think) are non-adjustable and very affordable also..
what the hell? Eibach prokits drop 1"? I thought they go 1.2~1.5".
I want to drop my car 1.2~1.5" both front and back, was thinking of eibach prokits and either KGB AGX's or Tociko Illuminas.
What would you guys recommend?

So who would typically make good use of adjustable shocks? I'm thinking about getting either H&R Sport or Eibach Pro-kit. I just want shocks that will last and be a nice comfortable ride, as my car is mostly a daily driver.
KONI YELLOWS! YES! And if it's too low, set them up on a higher spring perch. These shocks are by far the best. I think I saw a groupbuy on them on GBC for under $500 a little while ago... Look around though, I got screwed on mine cause i saw them and I bought them without shopping it out.
KYBs suck. Bilsteins are real nice. I like Koni Yellows-$525 free shipping shox.com or $489+shipping on diabloautosports.com

Check out my post in this link, it will give you a general idea of what to look for http://www.honda-tech.net/zerothread?id=83223
Now to help you out with whether or not you want your shocks to have an adjustability feature. The race springs will definitely lower your car a good amount so the increased spring rate alone will destroy most stock shocks. This being said you must expect that no matter what shock you buy, if the dampening (stiffness) cannot be adjusted, you will most likely face a semi-rough ride because those springs do drop quite a bit. The downside of getting a low drop is the lower the spring drops the higher its spring rate has to be to compensate, so expect a firm ride.
The only way to partially counter this is to buy a shock that allows you to adjust the stifness. Like I said in the other post on the link, for adjustability on a budget I would recommend the 1)Tockico Illuminas or 2)KYB AGX's. They will allow you to counter that stiff spring. But DO NOT expect a cadillac-like ride. Those neuspeeds are the RACE version of the spring, so be prepared to have some stiffness and bumpiness. If you do not want something too stiff and dont mind spending the money, then get a set of springs that do not lower that much such as the Eibach Sportline which lowers 1.7 (it will sag a bit) and will not have as high a spring rate as the Neuspeed Race's will (they will still leave you with roughly a 1 finger gap back and front. I know this because I had them on my car before I bought the ProKits.) Or, if you dont mind not having that slammed look, you can get the Eibach ProKits. They will not slam the car but combined with a good shock they give a very performance oriented ride with almost stock-like ride comfort.
Hope this helps,
KANJI
