Attention anyone that has contact info for Dan Ponze, aka God at Godspeed (need tele #)
Anyone, if you're browsing the boards Dan or anyone else that can get me his contact info such as a phone #. It's been over a month since I requested to get a deposit back (request sent via e-mail 9/22) on a Crux hood he promised me would take one month for it to reach my doorstep. Original request made 2nd week of August and sent out $600 check for deposit. Check cashed. One month later after original request, no hood, no notification, nothing. After 3 emails, I get a brief reply that he wont be able to get the Crux hood, instead a J's racing hood which is what he says the same thing. I told him to send me back the deposit as I don't want to wait another 4-6 weeks for the hood. It's been over a month since I requested that deposit and I've given up on contacting you through e-mail and must make it public. It's rediculous that you are lying to me and telling me you sent it out when you have not. As stated in your last e-mail (10/18) that you sent out the deposit that day, it's now 10/27, been over a week and I know the anthrax scare hasn't thwarted mail since I just received mail from east coast in 3 days. I did not want to make it public but I'm all out of options. As I asked you, do you plan on sending my refund? Or, do you plan to continue lying?
Your business practices should not be like this to anyone, especially a customer that has spent a good amount of money and loyalty to your business.

Dan is out of town, he's on the east coast for a few days, should be home soon though. Leave him a message, I'm sure he will call back when he can
I'll let him know about it tonight. Dan won't leave you hanging. He's a great person to deal with and will not screw anyone.

Thats true, he's on the east coast. I never had a problem with Dan and his products or services, but at times he does get busy. At times I had to nag him on to get on top of my orders, but for the most part, I'm patient with him and I get great pricing.
From the shoddy test-pipes he sold to poor customer services, I am having my doubts.

I have no such doubts. He had my test pipe cut to fit and back to me within 10 days from me sending it out.

sometimes (and I do mean some)the bigger companies are better at quality assurance...sorry, but I've seen way to many posts on these damn test pipes of his (among other complaints) and I'm just plain sick of it...

i've ordered a couple of products from Dan and have nothing to complain about. he's a great person to do business with....and yeah, he's outta town for a few days.

I had to get refunds from Dan on a few things that I ordered that never materialized, and while he wasn't lightening fast getting them back to me, he did get it done eventually. Dealing with him means dealing with a very small business - both the good and the bad. The big shops might get things faster, do more R & D, and so on, but Dan wins on pricing and his personal service.
If personal service means, taking 2+ weeks to refund a check for an item that was promised to be available...i'd be mad and would take my business elsewhere
guys, there's no need to defend dan or his business. I did't want to tell everyone what was up, but was forced to in order for something to happen. Being lied to is not acceptable. Just put yourselves in my shoes, I counted on the money for a bike I just got. I have payments, insurance, and bills to pay and $600 isn't small change. I can understand a week, but not a MONTH. He should go out of his way to send it. There's a limited amount of excuses to cover up sending a refund. It's not difficult to sign a check and stick it in an envelope with a stamp. I went out of my way to send the deposit priority mail certified, should expect the same thing back. You have to admit that it doesn't more than a minute to this by regular snail mail.
i can understand not getting back to you on pricing/availability of products(they must get swamped with callers asking,asking,asking but not buying)---but not refunding moneys is simply an aspect of business that's not acceptable at all. my perception of this is "is this guy that tight on funds where he might not be around if i place my order?"
kinda OT---mike/ips racing refunded my $800 for a part that did not work with no hesitation...

Ardy, start a website with a ticker... so we can ALL be posted on how many days have passed... I'd be curious how long it takes...
I know several someones on this board that had trouble getting products... while certain things we order are exotic to the US... NONE should take over three months... Kinda rediculous I think...

Dan's customer service is usually good when i order from him. Just this one time when I ordered an exhaust and a blow off valve using my store credit and he decides to tell me i have to pay $150 for shipping of the exhaust after I receive it without telling me beforehand. Whatever. It's all good. He's a good guy and I will be ordering from him again.
Dan's a good guy...I've known him for a while and recently did some business with him where he ordered some JDM parts through me....I'm sure if you contact him, he will try to resolve any issues you have!

He's got better hiding skills than Ben Ladin (excuse my extreme example).
