How many of you have a 2nd Honda to drive?
I currently daily drive a chevy trailblazer, and while i like it i want to get myself an ITR this summer. the thing is i am also building a boosted b18c1 for my 94 civic. My question is how many of you ITR owners that have 2 cars enjoy it. Is it worthless to have 2 cars other than when one is in the shop? I have wanted an ITR since i was 15 and came very close to getting an ITR 3 different times. Talked myself out of it. Now i am on the lookout for an ITR because i have decided if i can have a passion for a car for that long and it is affordable to me than it should be in my garage! What are your thoughts on this. Is it worthless to have 2 Honda cars? I would do very light modification to the ITR(ie: i/h/e suspension).
So to those of you out there with 2 hondas. do you enjoy driving both of them for various reasons? is one just a beater? I need some input

my beater is a 95 eclipse gsx....its cool having a boosted car, and a NA car, but I'm selling the gsx...it gets too crappy of gas mileage to be a good beater.
Having 2 Hondas is great. One for daily driving & good gas mileage. The other for fun. Having a slow beater makes you appreciate the weekend car.
If I could have it my way, I would love to have a Civic Hybrid or Insight for my daily driver.

So very true. I have a 1991 Accord LX with 247k on it...it runs like brand new...idles perfectly, everything works...28 MPG. Great car and is my daily driver.
Then I have my 2000 Type R with 24k on it. The weekend warrior. I don't really need to say anything else about the R.
BTW, my R is uber fast after a few days of riding in the Accord, lol.

I have two Hondas (Acuras) and I love it. One is my daily driver and track car. The other is my special occasion and track car. My SO also has one that's her daily driver (and formerly my daily driver and sometimes track car).

I love it. It is fun to drive, cheap to maintain, 35+mpg. Meanwhile the R gets to rest between Autoxes and track days. I still drive the R ~once a week though.

I think having a Civic to go with my Integra would be nice. It'd be easy to work on both and since a lot of the parts are interchangeable, spare parts and maintenance items can be hand-me-downs.
It'd be better than owning two cars of different makes and having twice the amont of spare parts.

In addition to the R, I have a '97 Accord LX for the daily (although the R has been my daily for these past couple of gorgeous spring weeks
)
And to complete my Honda garage, a 600 F4i

It's worth it to have a beater, especially if you own an R. Something you can take to areas where you wouldn't want to leave your Integra.
Aside from my GSR, my beater is an 88 Civic 4dr. 35mpg with 250k miles and still running like a champ (sort of)

Well my R is currently burning alot of oil (93,000mi of hard use will do that I guess) and is waiting for a rebuild so I'm not driving it much right now. It definitely makes it easier having a beater.
My true beater is my 1991 Si hatchback. It burns oil a little bit as well, but its a tank and runs strong. I use it for hauling stuff, going through the woods, and sliding around dirt roads at night. It gets good gas mileage as well and a simple can of black spray paint is all that is needed to fix any rally induced scratches
My new ride is a 1994 DX hatch with a turbo B18B. It's the best running car of them all lol. It makes about 250whp, pulls like a train, and doesn't burn oil at all. The gas mileage isn't super and the stock suspension and brakes aren't awe inspiring though.
I can wait to get the R running right again. I miss driving it every day. Yeah the hatch is hella fast, but the super responsiveness, awesome suspension, killer brakes, and way better ergonomics (my EG hatch is very uncomfortable to me, seats are very hard and my leg has no place to lean on long trips) make the ITR more fun to drive all around period.

Fun car is my 96 GSR with fully built NA motor and I have a 95 civic DX hatch as my daily beater... Gets great gas mileage and love having it around
