Well man I got this thing in and I couldn't believe how small it was. Looks like a battery for a go kart or something. 11 lbs is the weight.
But the problem I hoped the new battery would fix is still here. The car dies if I don't drive it for a day. So now I think I have reason to bring it to the dealer and tell them to change my alternator.
What should a good alternator read with a voltmeter?
Thanks in Advance

Any autoparts place should be able to test your alternator. It's more involved than simply testing output voltage.
Something else to check is your wiring - especially if you have any aftermarket accessories in your car. I bought a used car once and the battery kept dying. There was wiring still in the car from where an amp had been installed. I unhooked the aftermarket inline fuse from the battery and everything was fine.

BTW, for anyone else considering a lightweight battery... they can be had on ebay for about half what some people are getting for them around here.
