UPS dented my intake.
I just got my AEM CAI and it looks like UPS messed up again. There are 2 dents on the second bend after the filter. It's not too deep but I can definitely notice them. My main concern is performance. Will I lose any gains because of these dents?
Call UPS, and have to pay for a new one. It should be insured. I know the **** from FED EX is insured. Give them a call and find out, if you are concerned.
if they dented it, then they should pay for it.
Hrm. I wonder if FedEX dented my headers. Dammit!. BUt to answer your question, I don't think it will hurt your performance. As long as it's not a huge gouge or a hole. Maybe take a pic?
-AoiB0t, who is mad about his header. But now knows what to do instead.

Yeah.. it shouldn't hinder your performance at all. But still, have UPS's bitch *** pay for it. The stock boys were probably throwing your intake around in their stock room, that's how it messed up. Those guys are so careless.
yea definatly take a pic of it, it helps with the claim.......back in the good ol days when i worked for a shop in SF.. UPS had damaged a Spoon CF hood, so we took pics...they covered the claim pretty quick
I forgot more about hondas then you will ever know....

i ordered 2 of the aem for itr. BOTH had the dents you describe in the same place. i think it is a manufacturer (sp?) error. send me a pic, but it sounds awfully like mine.

If UPS dented it, good luck getting any kind of reimbursement. In my experience, it took me 5 month to get the refund for the rims that they lost. Those UPS representatives are a joke. If you really think they have dented your intake, file a complaint to BBB and ask to see the highest regional director. G'luck.
Two headunits were sent to my work in a large box *with out* any packing material. Although it's not UPS's fault for any damage, I called customer service anyway. They were very helpful and even appologized knowing that it's not their fault. A driver came by yesterday and took the box back to the office for inspection. I know UPS is going to place fault on the original dealer who shipped it, but had to do it for 'evidence' reasons.

UPS scratched a single ITR wheel that I had sent to Florida and I couldn't do a goddamn thing about it. They sent it back to me saying I didn't pack it well enough.
Sold the wheel to Super* though, and he seems to like it.
