Default wiring with a JDM engine.

Hey guys as some may know Im looking to buy a JDM SiR-G. The problem is that when the engine was stolen out of my car, they took the wiring and unclipped it all. Now I just talked to a guy at J-Spec and he said I would need to use the stock GSR wiring, but I don't have that. ANyone know where I can get that or how much it would cost.

Im still confused about what part of the wiring I need. I have all the wiring up until where it clips into the wiring that goes to the engine. Does that mean I have to get all those small individual wires? Any help is appreciated.

it sounds like you still have the engine harness in the car. its amazing that a theif would actually un-clip the harness rather than cut it, thats crazy. if you are missing that, you're going to need the proper engine harness. good luck finding someone to sell you that. if you're buying a full swap from whoever you mentioned it should come with a harness, and as long as your car is an obd1 car, and the motor you're buying is obd1, you can use that harness. just gotta match obd's. but if you're interested in just the engine harness, i guess start looking in junkyards.

yea thats the reason I bought back the car, because the harnesses were unclipped and I figured it would be a lot easier to put back together because of it. Thanks for the info about the OBD1, ill have to make sure I get an OBD1 motor.

you can get an obd2 motor, just switch to obd1 distributor, injectors, and ecu. thats if you find an obd2 motor at a good deal or something

if you put a obd2 motor in a obd1 car you need a obd1 wire harness, dizzy, injectors. you can still use the obd1 ecu. and you will throw a CAS code until you hard wire it to the dizzy.
