Best place to get a head unit is from a good local audio shop. Sometimes when you order off the net warranty can be an issue

A few years ago, I used ikesound.com once to buy a pair of RF HX2 subs. Not only did I end up paying about 50% of retail, but they came w/1 yr warranty. The best part is that I called them up about ten months later because one of the subs blew. They replaced it no questions asked. I had to pay about 20-25 bucks to ship my old sub back to them, the whole return process took about a week. I was very pleased with the whole deal.

I glad you were...( Ignorance is bliss ) Maybe I should start an online
biz. If memory serve me right Rockford has a 3 year warranty on
subs if purchased from an authorized dealer.So you gave up 2 years
of xtra coverage (im sure you will blow one then both a least once during
this period).You also paid $25.00 to ship them back to the dealer (what no
RA# or them paying the cost). Now lets factor into the week wait ( hey your time
is valuable too right ) Based on an avg of $8.25/hour x 44 hrs (avg wrk week)
=$363.00. Wow it all starts to add up doesnt it.

I'm not pissing on the on line guys...there are making money and providing
a service....its just when you look @ the pics as a whole not just by lowest
price..it sometimes doesnt add up to your advantage.

class dismissed.

well, considering that I only paid $278 shipped for two 12" DVC HX2's that were retailing for about 245 each (+shipping) back then, and the fact that I got a third one for 25 bucks (and I did have an RA#), I figure I didn't get ripped off. And I like how you made up some BS calculation for how valuable my time is. As a matter of fact, when I sold my accord, the new owner gladly paid an extra 500 for the subs and box. In the end, I sold the subs for almost twice what I paid for them, in theory, it was an investment that appreciated over the course of a year or two. Can your system do that? So, I still maintain that it was a fair deal.

aw dammit, this is my last post for the day. damn rules.

It was a fair deal, I got the same deal from Ikesound.com. They have great deals, very nice people, too.
